Re: Opus pricing
WOW! I've seen them at there lowest for 20 a piece, At it's highest 35 a piece in chicago. If I could get Opus for 12 a piece it would be all I would smoke everyday.

Re: Opus pricing
The only shops around here that carry Opus are asking about $30 for a robusto, which I think is the cheapest of the ones they stock.
Absurdly high, so I find connections and get lucky here and there with some good deals to get mine.

Re: Opus pricing
That's a great price! Here, in CA, they'll cost you a lot more cuz of the taxes and gouging factors. I can usually get mine in the mid to high teens. I've also seen them priced in the 20's.

Re: Opus pricing
$35 for #4's.
However ran into a place that just devided what they paid for the holiday sampler by the number of cigars. Walked out with both the #2's from the sampler for $11/piece!

Re: Opus pricing
In Philly the Perf. #4 is under $9.
I bought the #4 tin for $43 2-3 yrs. ago, and the robusto tin was $40 last Xmas, including sales taxes. Holts charges msrp for everything Fuente. Just add PA and Philly sales taxes. They even treat a 'little guy' like me the right way. But, they have a daily limit on most of the htf sticks. Unfortunately, I live an hour away, and just make a few trips each year. I hope to get a box of Hemi maduros sometime this year. Probably during the year-end holiday season, if available. Last Xmas they had boxes of Hemi BTLs for $325. At Father's Day they had lots of WOAMs for $8.50 ea. Chemyst Last edited by Chemyst; 07-04-2009 at 09:30 PM. Reason: Checked my receipts from Holts. I save them. |

Re: Opus pricing
That's a nice price on WOAM. I thing we're around $10 on those. Fuente did have a small price increase in addition to the SCHIP increase of .40 per stick. So the average selling price on Opus probably went up somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.00-1.25 per stick over what they were pre-SCHIP.

Re: Opus pricing
Most of the B&M's here in AZ tend to have them at MSRP with a strict limit of 2 per person.
I know of one shop that ALWAYS has them but they are 1-2 dollars over. |
