Ya know, I don't think these things are the highest quality in the world, but at least they appear to be fixable at a low cost.

Since I've gone thru three in the past two years, I consider them throw away items. I use small ones so they're not that expensive. The Haier I now use is at least servicable, and has performed well for a little over one year. Knock on wood. The only problem I have is what to do with the old ones. In this day of sorting and recycling, they're easier to purchase than to junk.

50.00 to buy and 20.00 to dispose. This is our local refuse service at work.

Like I said, I use a small 6 bottle cooler purchased from pro vantage last year. They've raised the price now but last year, it was 50 plus. A nice little cooler that holds enough for me.

Gotcha. Go bigger next time it blows up. You'll thank me later.

No no, I don't want bigger. I had bigger and always felt compelled to keep it full. I do still keep the little one full but it's prevented me from stockpiling too much. Sort of like gastric bypass surgery for the cigar hobby. You see, I have no self control.

I think a lot of us suffer from that.
