New pipes, thanks guys
Well, as you know I am getting a CA 2009 pipe, and was obviously blown away that you guys and the Boswells made it free for me.
Aside from the gesture, which I'm still not over, I'm also relieved that you guys did that, financially. I was unsure if I was going to get a CA pipe because I had just commissioned a pipe from Rad Davis, which wasn't going to be cheap, but I figured I could swing it. Well, when I last spoke to J.M. on the phone about the club pipes he finished up the call asking me what I wanted mine to look like, and I couldn't bear (bare?) to say "oh I'm the only dickweed that isn't getting one" so I told him to make it however he wanted, to surprise me. So, ok cool, I'm getting a club pipe, I'm happy about that, it's pretty special to be the first pipe from this forum, and I took a sense of pride in it being the coordinator and all. But now I've got two pipes coming, and I'm not positive I can pay for either as I haven't been able to work too much since we don't get a summer break in our 4th year, it's 12 straight months, may to may. But now that you guys have bought my pipe for me, and I'm gonna have a day off to work tomorrow (and selling a box of cigars), I'll be able to pay cash for the Rad Davis. So thanks again, and here's the new Rad (he finished today actually) |

That Rad Davis is a gorgeous pipe, Tim.
About the CA pipe, I was paying enough attention to notice you had just bought a Boswell poker before our decision to get a Boswell poker as the CA 1ed. pipe. That only contributes, in my mind, to make your efforts even more praisable, as you never mentioned it once... that's the sign of a classy gentleman. |
