Get a little bottom round roast sear it in a pan to get the sides brown. Move to the slow cooker. Add some garlic cloves, water or stock, a package or two of onion soup mix and a half a bup of BBQ sauce. Drop that roast in there and let it go. When you get home, remove the roast, pull it apart with two forks and add some BBQ sauce and retun to the cooker for 5 minutes. Get a nice crusty hero roll and drop some BBQ sauce on it and put on your pulled beef and enjoy with a nice cold beer.

When you make a roast in the crock pot, pour some Coke in the bottom of the pot before putting the roast in. It makes the meat more moist.

I will throw some deer meat in (when I get it) pretty much any meat will work, some cream of shroom soup and some french onion soup. Its good over noodles or rice and dinner rolls. I will sometimes do beef ribs when I want bbq sauce on ribs and a no fuss meal. The only way I will do pork ribs in the crockpot is when I will be adding saurkraut.

I've found lots of great recipes for the crockpot here.
http://www.justslowcooking.com I make crockpot recipes about twice a week. There simple and fast to prep and there is nothing better than coming home and having dinner ready.

Crock Pot meal today....
Beef Roast (usually tip) Add one can of Sun Drop soda (or Mountain Dew if you don't have SD) One package of dry onion soup mix 1 Tablespoon of Cajun Seasoning. Let it crock. Put in potatoes and veggies you like with about 2 hours left to go. SD is the kicker to this. Works well with a pork roast or even venison as well...

This thread got me hankerin' for a pot roast. I do it like this:
One chuck roast any size. Two large onions. Bloody Mary mix, regular or spicy. Spicy crab boil seasoning. Dust the chuck roast with the crab seasoning powder and brown the roast in a fry pan. Add chopped or sliced onions to the crockpot, put the roast on top, and pour Bloody Mary mix over all. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Veggies such as potatoes, carrots or celery can be added a couple hours before it's done. Sometimes I'll use the whole canned potatoes, those can be added when you get home from work and cook in no time.

Made this Sunday for the days NFL action, always a crowd pleaser.
1 Box Velveta 3 cans chili (Beanless preferred) Cube velveta and add 3 cans chili. Turn on slow cooker. Should be melted and ready to get your dip on in about 45 minutes. Can also add a small jar of salsa/picante. Regular chili can obvisouly be used too, just prefer the no bean version in this. Some jalapeno's are a nice addition also.
