Buying first home!

Just want to share that after many years of apartment living I'm taking the plunge and buying my first home. Closing date is May 18th. Finally I will be able to smoke cigars and BBQ!

Having your own place makes all the difference. Congrats and make sure you note anything out of whack on your final inspection. You can always ask for a concession if it is not as originally planned.
Take a good hard look at the age of your water heater, HVAC, big appliances.
Last thing you want to do is have to put out for these expenses a month after you walk in.
Juat a little heads up from someone that has been there.

Congrats, that's awesome! I have an offer in on a short sale right now, but I just found out it may not be until early July before we get an accept/reject from the bank, even though the homeowner accepted two weeks ago. Good luck with your closing and enjoy the new place
