I would suggest going with something you know is going to be great because it would suck having to wait that long to have something else after having a bad stick.

Not sure about your specifics, but I had two teeth extracted a month ago and am in the process of getting implants as well. I have to wait 4 months for the bone to heal so they can install the titanium studs. My oral surgeon told me that nicotine will slow the healing process, for the first week post op I smoked about 1 cigar a day. Then on the 5 day we had a herf so I had about 7. Still smoke 1-2 a day no problems encountered so far.
