Usually by myself, while chatting with fellow inmates

Occasionally I can find a friend or two to share the experience. The rest of the time I'm left alone with the voices in my head.

I don't have voices in my head...and Neither do I!

Actually I really enjoy herfing but once in a while there is something very calming about just being alone with cigar and coffee/booze that clears your mind.

I agree... I love a good cigar on the drive home. It is just for me. Of course I love a good cigar with friends more...

I Like natural settings for the relaxation factor. But I live in a city, so I make do with this as my herf spot. Doesn't suck too bad

I did some moving water canoeing courses and been on the river a couple of times in a yak. I live on an island and have a passion for the sea so that's what I do mostly.

We should start a paddling thread to see who else is out there on the water.

I'm with ya. It's great to get a group together and laugh it up. Sometimes though, it's just nice sitting outside solo and unwinding.
