Radford goes to the big dance ...
I live in Radford, but work in Blacksburg (Virginia Tech). We have a small liberal arts school here in Radford. They beat what looked to be a better VMI squad last weekend to win the big south conference. 21-11 overall, 15-3 in conference. Fun to see a small school (9K) get to the tourney.
Radford, a city of 16,200 people, is located approximately 36 miles southwest of Roanoke in the Blue Ridge Mountains in scenic western Virginia. The Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, New River, and Claytor Lake, which has more than 100 miles of shoreline, offer many outdoor activities in a region noted for its natural beauty. You can't expect them to go far, but they have a good coach and they should be hyped up. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...031001287.html Luck, boys, play your game and enjoy yourselves.

As a former keydet I can't help but be disapointed in that game. However, props to Radford for adjusting their game plan and pulling out the win. I hope you guys can surprise someone and pull out a win or two in the big dance!

Re: Radford goes to the big dance ...
Picked my son up from there this weekend--spring break of his second year. Watched the game with him, needless to say he was stoked! We celebrated with a mini-herf in the truck on the way home: I had a Los Statos Deluxe & DPG Vegas Cubanas, he had an Upmann Vintage Cameroon, and we split a PdP #1 '00.
Will be interesting to watch Radford's progression in the bracket. Depending on the match-up, they might grab a game.

Congrats! Always cool if a small school can make it deeper into the tourney, too. We shall see
