Savinelli 1998 Pipe of the Year

I just bought a NOS Savinelli 1998 Pipe of the Year for $100. Anybody know anything about it? Was $100 a good price for this pipe?

Sorry that I don't know more to ask better questions, but I'm a recreational pipe smoker at best.

I'm a big fan of Savanelli.I have a few and all are good smokers. All I can say about the price is that if you'er happy with the pipe then its well worth the price. IMHO its worth the $100.

I did a google search for it, but struck out. I didn't think of going to pipesandcigars.com. Like I said, I'm not a smart man.

I can't recall anyone ever saying that had a Sav that smoked like a dog. The one I have is rock solid. Looks like a real jewel for a C-note, esp. if you like it.

Now I'm really jealous. I've been wanting a new Sav. Goliath,however the budget won't allow it just now. Guess I'll have to wait till July 15th(my birthday).
Anyway congrats on a really nice pipe at a super price.
