How Do You Properly Season A Humidor?

Yea I know, I just wanted to season the humidor she got me before I fill it up.

It'll all equal out before the full humidor dries out the cigars. Just fill the humidor and hydrometer and sit back. Some like to wipe the inside with a lightly damp cloth. I would say not to and just wait it out for the humidor to equalize with the cigars in them. Rushing humidity could cause beetles or mold.

Yah not a fan of wiping the wood, can cause it to warp and you won't get a really good seal.

I'll just let it sit there with a shot glass of water in it for a week or two, no biggie.

Make sure the room doesn't get too hot for extended periods.
