Maybe you out there in the boonies don't know it, but Bob Sheppard is STILL introducing Number 2, Derek Jeter, Jeter at Yankee Stadium, even though he's been dead for 4 years. Yeah, for Jeets and Jeets alone, they play a tape, so this is the LAST year since 1951 his voice will be heard in The Bronx . . . until maybe Old Timer's Day. ![]() I also like the Jets/Giants part. This is a long-time Giants town, but the Jets built their multi-zillion dollar facility a pistol shot away. Man, did we have fun with the Sanchez/Tebow circus! ![]()

Yes, though it's not as bad for me as when I saw Mattingly go. At least Jeter's going on his own terms, and not because he feels he can't perform due to injury.
