Neck stiffness

I had a similar problem. Ended up being a couple of bulging disks in my c-spine.

This. I've got a herniated disc at c5-c6 that causes all kinds of similar symptoms, including pain down my right shoulder/upper arm.

If the pain doesn't subside after a couple days, go see your doctor. They can take x-rays to see what might be going on and if need be, send you for a MRI.
