First pass at this wasn't terribly successful. Most of the water had drained out before I pressed, and I'm pretty sure I used way too much water to grinds. I ended up with a slightly flavored milk drink that wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't order one in a restaurant.
Will try again today. |

I have it set on the finest grind possible, but I'm still having the same problem. Maybe if I poured the water a little more slowly, it would allow the filter to form a better seal.
Also, is the plunger supposed to touch the coffee on the way down? Seems to me the air ahead of the plunger is what is actually forcing the water through the grinds and filter. Didn't get a chance to use it this morning, but yesterday's results were somewhat better. If it's alright with the group, I'd like to hold on to this through the weekend. ![]() |

You did use a paper filter, right?

Changed the proportions this morning for a single cup, instead of my usual travel mug. Made a damn smooth (if not weaker) cup. The learning curve isn't terribly steep on this thing, which I like. Changing portion sizes is a bit of a guessing game, but I think two tries will probably be all it takes.

If there is room at the end of the list I would love to try this out.
