Default 5 Vegas Miami Toro

I bought a couple of 5ers of these several months ago. The first one I smoked right away and was not that impressed. After they rested for a couple of months they have really come around. Definitely Pepin but with some cocoa and nuts. Reminds me of the Legends Yellow, but they may have a bit more character!

I've had these in the torp size and yes they are really good with a bit of rest and definitely have the Pepin trade mark.

These are great smokes. I even like the Nub knock-off size... the Knuckle.

Nice review too!

I love the Miamis. Outside of the Cuban Classic I think it is my favorite Pepin blend, or at least near the top for me. I always taste a sweetness that reminds me of grapes.

I was not that impressed with the 5 Vegas Miami. Maybe I will give them a nice, long nap and see if my opinion changes.

Agreed. I'm smoking one now(torpedo) and it is very firm, very tight draw(very annoying), has burn issues and is not producing a lot of smoke. From what I can kinda taste is pretty good, but I'm gonna rest these for a good month or two and then see again.

I bought a big sampler pack about a year ago and didn't like the first few I had. Put the rest away and pretty much forgot about them until tedrogerscpa sent me a 5V Miami torp as part of the Blind Taste Test PIF:

Apparently, 6+ months really help these sticks out!

I really like the 5 Vegas Miami- especially the petite corona and the torpedo. However, I've had 2 or 3 of the knuckles and was not impressed. I'm going to let the rest sit for several months to see if they improve. Having said that, I've liked all the other ones ROTT.
