I'll tell you this, my favorite holiday beers are the Anchor Merry Christmas and happy new year ale and the best is the Old Fezziweg Ale found in the Sam Adams seasonal sampler.

Definitely looking forward to the winter ales!
Currently I am enjoying the Goose Island Harvest Ale. Goes great with the cooler months of Fall. |

I wait all year for October to roll around for Pumpkin beer season.
Post Road has been my favorite for years, but this year it's #2. Buffalo Bill's is darn good, I put it at #1, but just barely. Saranac is #3, and Smuttynose lags behind at #4. I'm not a fan of Dogfish Head and Blue Moon Pumpkin, not spicy enough. Same reason I put Smuttynose at #4. Seems you get spiced beer, or pumpkin flavored beer, I'm partial to the spiced style. Then in Feb the local microbrewery makes 'Naked Fish', a chocolate raspberry stout. Some people look forward to Valentine's Day, I look forward to 'Naked Fish' day ![]() |
