My Shopbot CNC Machine Arrived Yesterday.

It is absolutely glorious and crazy sexy.
I started learning all the volumes of CNC software paperwork and videos yesterday and already have a pretty good grip. It's not unlike a lot of stuff I've already done, so the learning curve won't be as huge as I guessed.
It'll still be a few months before I'm cranking out the kind of things that are in my head, but it'll come.
Fortunately I can create sectional toolpaths, or "parts of projects in small pieces" that I can stitch together as necessary. I don't have to do everything from scratch, and I can change sizes of projects easily.
Enough of that, I just wanted to drop off a few pics...

I'm almost done building the shop, as well. When I finally get that done, I'll take some video and pics. It's been quite an adventure.

I'm down to my last bit of shelving, I need to build a nesting table under my workbench, and then I have to empty all the bins and put stuff away.
I'm going to crank out a pile of non-Shopbot projects asap just so I can get it out of my system. It feels like it's been forever since I made anything.
