I once had a conversation with a PETA person who was an incredible cat lover - had 4 of them at home.

Didn't find anything wrong with killing animals (and then stuffing it into tin cans) to feed her cats. But, thought it was wrong that I should have a steak for dinner.

The reasoning why it was OK for animals to eat other animals, and why it was wrong for people not to eat animals? "They are still animals, we've evloved past that."

Uhhh, wouldn't your title suggest that PETA was less than full retard previously? If you ever met any of them or seen them in action you would understand they have been pretty full-on retard for many years. Maybe they have gone super-retard lately...
