Alright people we know your not awake yet, but Good morning ya'll.

Re: Mike and Shawn; It's the Weekend, Diesel D Review
Gotta say, we are BLESSED with some incredible weather today - perfect for a herf. In the 80s, light breeze, but a little dusty. That happens out here.
These sticks we picked out today are about 5", maybe 55 ring, and a good stout color to them. I just lit mine up and I'm already digging the full flavor - last couple cigars I had were a little bit on the mild side, so this might be what I've been jonesing for today. Good construction. Pretty tight roll, but that might be because of some iffy storage conditions lately. Doesn't seem to be burning extra hot or anything, though, so maybe Shawn's cooler - err... humidor - is doing a good job at keeping these.... |

Initial Light
The prelight taste is of earthy spanish cedar. This thing has a great smell to it. The construction is excellent but seems like it will be tight. The oily sheen on the Maduro wrapper is gorgeous.

Great taste of spices, this is def a Full Bodied I was right that is a very tight draw, I may have to cut a little more of the cap off to get this to draw nice. The ash was holding on prefect until about a min ago. Kinda funny cause mine fell off in my lap and not 2 seconds later when Mike was laughing at me...His fell off in his lap. Carma is a ***** Mike

Re: Mike and Shawn; It's the Weekend, Diesel D Review
We were just commenting on the consistency of these. We're about 25 minutes in, and right about the time I was admiring the ash (yes, asH) both dropped within a few seconds of each other. That's some consistency.
Or a gust of wind would be the explanation. I'd like to give cred to the cigar, though. |

The taste I get a very toasty nutty flavor. I am getting another taste, I can't tell you what it is but it is mixing very well. I'm digging this stick, although I think it maybe putting me on my ass in a little bit. Screw it I can hang in the rest of it.... Maybe

Re: Mike and Shawn; It's the Weekend, Diesel D Review
Good stick. I like the fuller flavor on this one...it sat me down and reminded me what good cigars are like. This cigar and I had a good relationship while it lasted, and there was a moment of sadness when I realized it must come to an end. It got a little hot towards the end there, but that's probably my fault for trying to smoke this cigar down way further than it was ever meant to go.
Not all is lost, though - even though I'm going to have to let this one go, it lived a good life for a cigar, and fulfilled it's destiny in a glorious way. It left me with the hope that there will be more like it in the future, and that's lifted my spirits greatly. |

Wow, I have to put this down. Not only does it taste great but it is putting me on my ass. It has been a while since I have I had cigar that rocked my world like this one. I am not sure what the ratings are for this one but I would have to give it a 15/20. Last bit of it was starting to get hot and well my fingers hurt... Over all Great smoke

Was the band on the foot, Shawn? I remember seeing them, I didn't know what they are, either. The first incarnation of the Diesel was in Denver Broncos colors, so it was an immediate put-off.

The band was down on the foot...light brown with dark brown letters on it. I think Shawn's got a photo to post.
