Dear Lord, Thank You.
|
I get what you're saying, Derrick. I enjoy lots of cheapos, too.
I've seen cigars that are so dry they crumble and ones that literally had yellow mushrooms growing on them. My point is that you can't smoke a cigar like that and consider it a representation of the marca any more than if you dipped a well-cared-for cigar in dogsh1t. That's why we invest so much time and care in keeping our cigars properly. It's why we spend so many hours learning and fussing and wrestling to learn to keep our cigars properly. If we go through all that and bypass it by buying a poorly kept cigar (no disrespect to Isaiah, he noticed the cigar was poorly kept), we're gonna get what we pay for. I'd have to look long and far to find a guy who's going to enjoy poorly kept, dried out crunchy cigars. That being the case, it's hard to employ "smoke what you like" in this case.

I'm nuts for the place

I'm more impressed with the fact that your wife will go and pick you out a stick and even cut it for you. I get resistance sometimes if I just ask for a drink.

Feeling at Home

She's a wonderful woman, She fully supports my hobby and even sits down and smokes with me. Unfortunately she likes Acid's, Makers Mark, and any other overpriced infused stick. I think I'll keep her anyway though.

When you start buying boxes you'll see that in every box there's at least one or two that doesn't fit the profile of the others. Tobacco is an agricultural product. We are all willing to accept that if we buy a big bag of oranges and all of them are sugar sweet while one or two are bit sour that it was a good purchase. IMHO the same holds true for cigars. I have had some boxes that were all the same profile, but they are in the minority.

That whole idea of the wife choosing and cutting a cigar... Hot!!!
Makes me think dirty thoughts! I think being blindfolded might enhance the experience!

Thing is, for the price of an Acid Kuba Kuba, I could replace my dried out Padron. For the price of that god awful MM thing she smoked yesterday, I could get a LP no9, or add a dollar and get 2 undercrowns. This is at my local shops of course, it is a bit different online, but still...

Have My Own Room

haha my Fiancee will sit by me unless the smell is too strong for her. She's a good Sport. The only unwritten rule is I gotta get her a blanket, since I sit in front of the open slider, and it's February in Massachusetts haha.
