There was a higher "max bid" on the lot than 11.00. thats what the cameo of buddy (or whatever his name is) next to bidders name.
It's easy to win what you want. Just bid more.

FYI check INTERNET pricing of what your looking at. Bids have been way overpriced lately.

This is a good point and I hadn't thought of that. Someone could have set a max bid that was higher than your $11 bid. So what ends up happening is that you submit your $11 bid and the guys max bid automatically bids for him to the next highest increment and makes it jump to $13.
