Don't misunderstand my post. Rodgers is the best QB in the game today. But having a capable back-up and quality team around him is exactly why he is not the most valuable player, IMO.

Take Drew Brees out of the NO lineup, and they are just another good team. He is far more valuable.

One thing we absolutely agree on. I don't get a vote.

I agree with Brees value to his team (and the league, for that matter).
This will be an interesting choice this year. I don't think you can argue if either wins.

Either player is deserving. You could even toss Brady in the mix considering how bad the Patriots defense is.

I can see your point in that Rogers has an equal backup. Who is the backup for New Orleans should Brees go down for the count?
