Smoked more cigars in 2008 then probably all the years prior combined. Not really into the CC's yet, still working through all the NC's available. My list (in no particular order) of top cigars smoked in 2008:

Padron 1964 Principe Maduro
Don Diego Aniversario #2
Pepin Delicias
Trinidad Library
Pepin Magnates
Trinidad Robusto Maduro
Olivia Serie G Maduro Belicoso
La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5 Maduro
Olivia Serie V Chruchill Extra
Alec Bradley Tempus Centuria
Ashton VSG Corona Gorda

2008 was a great year for smoking, not so great on everything else!

An '08 Parti Short that I had while standing on the back porch, on the (cordless) phone with a friend, while an amazing lightning storm was raging (and I mean RAGING) overhead.

I don't know if it was the intensity of the situation, or if I had gotten that Short at just the right moment of fresh perfection between recovery from shipment and descent into The Period, but every time I think of a CC, that one stick comes to mind. I can't say as I've ever had another Short that was just like it, ever.

I was thinking it would be something from The Shack, or one of the MoB herfs, but that one, surprisingly, stands out.

Last year was a pretty good year when it comes to trying new smokes. The one smoke that stood out in 2008, would be the Padron 80th anni Maduro that I enjoyed on my birthday after a wonderful dinner.
