Can't go wrong with either Heartfelt of Shilala Beads. A little reading around here will give you the information you need to make your decision.

Shilala!

They come precharged and you just put them in!
I have had mine for months with no fluctuation in RH.
And I intend to purchase more! Can't beat Shilala IMO!

I need to order some more since I'm thinking about getting another cooler. There's a group buy going on right now.

Default Re: Shilala Beads or Puck-ifier?

I'm obviously slanted, but just wanted to say that I have a humidor that has a puckifier built right into the lid and it worked great while I used it. It's a super cool invention and it's nice that you can velcro it right to the lid in your humi. They're versatile.
When the beads in the puckifier wore out and got crumbly and stinky, I just went with soft beadsticks. They're still going strong.

You should always season your humidor. And I have to agree with the beads.

Beads--I had wildly fluctuating RH UNTIL I started using Scott's Beads. Had them for years and they still are working great. I had the other and they started to break up and make a real mess.
