Best smells in cigars
What are some of the best smells or your most favorite aroma when you smoke a cigar??
for me I love the smell of an Opus wrapper. Also enjoy the smell of a Tatuaje Black when it is being lit and a Padron's Anniversary's aroma while burning. What say you inmates??? |

Re: Best smells in cigars
Hmmm...interesting question that I have not seen. I agree on Padron, but then again, they are my favorites. I like the smell of sumatra wrappers too.
On the flip side, I HATE they vegetal smells in some cigars. The older Camacho habano (habana?) with the red/gold band comes to mind. The smell alone makes me gag. |

Re: Best smells in cigars
I love coffee and chocolate aromas. Smoked my very first Liga Privada #9 last night and loved the smell of the stick before lit and while burning. Best smoke I have ever had since I began smoking about a year ago.

Another vote for sumatra. I love the smell of the Oliva G.

It's been said before, but Bob IS wise! Nothing like the first whiff of an open cooler full.

Re: Best smells in cigars
I love the smell when I open my winador or crack a new box and sniff that first cigar. My particular favorite are when they smell seet and earthy. So good!!!

The Illusione mj12 I smoked yesterday had a pleasant smell while burning. Don't recall what it reminded me of but I remember thinking it was more enjoyable than most. Also agree with the smell of opening the humidor...love that one.

I think Bill Clinton figured out how to combine his two favorite smells... just sayin...
For me it is definitely the smell of the cedar/tobacco when opening my humidor. You think they would consider bottling that into some sort of cologne? |

Re: Best smells in cigars
I also agree with the smell when opening my humi, but I also have an empty box of LFD Double Ligero that I got from my local B&M which I use for my accessories and cigar bands, that just smells heavenly, I need to track down some of these smokes.

The smell of Spanish Cedar in a humidor or cooler is intoxicating. A 601 Blue with some age on it smells delicious!
