What a great find! I find it especially interesting that the commonly referenced online Cuban cigar "encyclopedia" doesn't mention the churchill vitola--not only is your find great, it might also be a new discovery! I wonder if MRN mentions this vitola.
Also, based on my limited knowledge, the box appears to be pre-revolution (1960): in the second picture you can see the very top part of the double-ovaled "MADE IN HAVANA-CUBA" stamp. This stamp was not used after the revolution. |

I'm looking more at the box and what really impresses me is that it still has the original cedar shield that went on top of the cigars. Five decades and it was never damaged, lost or separated from the rest of the box. |
