Detroit Red Wings defenseman Ruslan Salei, and former NHL players Brad McCrimmon, Josef Vasicek, Pavol Demitra, Karel Rachunek, Daniel Tjarnqvist and Alexander Vasyunov were reportedly killed today in a plane crash in Russia.

Apparently Dallas Stars defenseman Karlis Skrastins was killed as well.

That is now 3 former Avalanche players to pass away in a week.

Today the lone survivor of the Russian plane crash succumbed to his wounds and passed. Forgive the spelling, but, lokomotiv has officially withdrawn from this season. Hopefully they will be able to build themselves a great team, as they have vowed to rebuild.

Watched the leafs & Ottawa on nhl network last night. Man it was nice. Phanuef is still an asshat. While answeredthe bell after he laid a big hit, he got pissed when Neil drilled him.

I can't stand seeing the C on his chest.
