Great review Ferdie, but I have to ask what is terroir?

His usage is perhaps a bit misleading as, in "tasting" circles, the term (derived from the French wine industry and its adherents) usually refers to flavors which express an indication of the location from which the tasted products hail (ie. the details of flavor which make a wine from one region taste like it's from that region and not another). So, when you read tasting reports/reviews that mention terroir, they're usually not referring to "earthy" flavors specifically (although, to complicate matters, many of the flavors that indicate terroir tend to fall into the "earth" taste area).

Just happened to have a box of these delivered to the front door yesterday. Looking forward to trying them out.
