Nice game for the Yankees offense today. 3 grand slams setting an MLB record. Martin went 5 for 5 with 2 HR's. Jeter is now batting .299 on the season.

PH only lasted 2 innings, gave up lots of hits. We had the
Bases loaded 16 times, DJ came up 4 times
with the bases jammed and only got one ribbie.
But he is still my idol, lol. We still lost 2 of 3 to the A`s pitching,
it was 7 to 1 when the barage started. And the sox kid rookie
called up for Dice K shut out the mighty Rangers 6 to 0 yesterday.

Maybe they should give 'em some sort of nickname . . . like the Bronx Bombers, or something like that.

The Yankees fought for the win tonight against the Red Sox. Sox had plenty of chances to win but the Yankees pitching got out of the jams.

It is true the Rod Sux left half the population of Baastun on base, but the Yanks didn't exactly get a key hit when needed to blow it open either. And I don't think I've ever seen Girardi more angry than he was when Mo was charged with a "hit batsman" to bring the tying run to the plate.

Yankees take 2 of 3 from the Red Sox.

Rivera pulled a Wickman tonight in the 9th loading the bases before getting the last out.

You should know by now it's all a tease. The Yanks love to give Baastun a whiff of hope before they snatch the plate away. It's backfired a time or two, but it's all the sweeter when it works.
