Personally, I enjoy drinking whisky out of a tulip shaped glass. I also enjoy my drams with a few drops of water in them to open up. You could pick up a few tulip shaped Glencairn glasses. They are inexpensive and do the job fairly well.

I collected single malt whiskeys for many years but really don't have an opinion on the right glass, since that is very subjective (I have many different styles that are supposedly the "perfect" whiskey tasting glass). As for other whiskeys, I drink many kinds but rarely make recommendations.
