Default Re: What to pair with lemonade?

Mario, I pair lemonade with many of the cigars I smoke. Not as a companion to the individual stick, but as a very effective palette cleanser that is crisp, has an acid base that cuts thru any cigar film in my mouth, and with a taste that doesn't linger over long. I find that sipping lemonade every now and then renews my taste buds during a smoke (or between different cigars) very effectively. Never tried to pair it specifically with an individual cigar. But i probably drink it as a palette cleanser at least 50% of the times I smoke!! But, I use only lemonade made with real sugar, not artificial sweeteners, as I find the taste of artificial sweeteners to be a taste disaster!

Cliff, thank you for this post. I have considered what is in it, tried it, and fell in love with lemonade. I now find that it tasted great, is refreshing, and really does cleanse my palette between puffs. I thought it would be good with certain cigars and make others taste bitter, but it works perfectly with everything I've accompanied it with. This may be my new go to drink to have with my cigars. I may even like it more than Mexican Coke...
