Default Carpentry advice sought

I have a carpentry project to complete due to recent events. Any brothers here in the trade?
Scope includes: hanging a couple doors, light (I guess) trim work, door/ latch suggestions.

Respond here or PM me if you can help.

Thanks!

If you've never done trim work before, go buy a little coping saw and watch some youtube videos. You are not going to become a compound mitering wizard in a weekend.
That's the toughest of everything you mentioned.
I''m guessing you're replacing doors. If you can reuse the jambs, do so.
Aside from that, you kinda left zero questions to answer. Don't get stressed, it's easy. Let youtube be your friend.
Good luck, my brother!!!

It would help a lot to show some pics of what your up against.
Planing a door to fit a strange sized opening can be difficult. Sometimes it's better to re-frame it.

BEST ADVICE for trim:

Buy or rent a brad gun and an air compressor. If you have an air compressor, you are ahead of the game. I'll never use a hammer again for trim work. Even the inexpensive brad guns will do trim great. They even countersink the brad heads for easy touch-up finishing. Just make sure the gun will shoot a variety of brad lengths, up to at least 1 1/2 inches. 18 gauge brads are pretty much the standard.

Good luck.

Not exactly. My carpenter lost every tree he had, and his house is severely damaged. He is handling that first, and I'm going to finish a project he started for me. No hard feelings on either end, just need a little advice.

Advice taken. Budget says I'll be using a hammer and set. I have the compressor, but I think by the time I go buy or rent a nail gun I can just grunt through this one.

Here is a link to my photo bucket of the almost completed project. As you can see, the scope is quite small, and I'm not *itching due to the damage that a lot of neighbors have.

Sorry for being vague. I was trying to not clutter the board with my minor project.

Keep it coming guys. I appreciate all the help.
