WHAT!!!! That's horrible man! How does a cigar bar go non-smoking? That's like a BBQ joint going all vegan. Blasphemy!

Sorry you haven't had a cigar in so long Scott. Hopefully you can find another place and remedy that soon

After a long hiatus, I am back! It's about 65 degrees today. Very windy so I ended up in the garage.

I popped the triple cap off of #5 today. This is about a 42x5.5'' cigar with a beautiful light wrapper. The first thing I noticed about this cigar was that it was quite heavy for a corona. This became a bit of an issue.

First Third: This baby was plugged! I cut it a second time and did some of my famous massage technique but it really didn't open up much. It made me remember that I need to get a draw poker! I got my longest needle and did enough work to get some smoke out of it. The smoke I could get was very creamy and sweet. This was what I would call a "velvety" smoke. Heavy smoke, long finish, velvety! There were some floral qualities and I could get the sense that this was well-aged. It's amazing how much a Cuban cigar can change with age. There's nothing else like it.

Second Third: More massaging and more poking. It had a noticable plugged spot about an inch from the cap. I didn't get much of a flavor change. Some very light cedar notes started chiming in. The problem was that it actually became more plugged as I smoked. I was puffing hard to get very little. My massaging eventually broke the wrapper and it became a bit of a slapstick routine to keep it together. The smoke I got was good. Real good.

Last Third: I didn't make it. Sorry about that, Tyr. I think they may have rolled a rock into this one!

I can say that I probably gave up on a wonderful and well-aged cigar. I am shopping for a draw poker right now!

Aw bummer!!! Sorry about the plugged smoke brother! There's nothing worse. It really is too bad as this is what you smoked:

5th Anniversary Vegas Robaina Familiar from the Box

These cigars have a wonderful flavor! Rich and creamy with a not so subtle flavor of vintage tobacco reminiscent of the Cubatobacco days. I am really sorry that this one was plugged bro as these are some of my favorite Robaina's.

Love these reviews Scott! You're getting close to the end brother

I'm baaaaack!

Okay, #2 was set on fire today:

This one had a strong cedar prelight aroma. I'm into woodsy cigars, so I was excited.

First Third: This one is probably the strongest of the four I've smoked. The prelight cedar was certainly present when I started smoking. The cedar overtones had some oak and ashy flavors with it. The nicotine was in full effect on this cigar.

Second Third: A little more mellow at this point. The flavor profile didn't change much. It seemed to get a little sweeter at this point. This cigar produces a ton of smoke!

Last Third: The strength picked up again here. It might be because I was smoking faster than usual since it was so good. The flavor profile remained consistent throughout. While this wasn't the most complex smoke of the bunch, it is one of my favorites due to the strong woodsy flavor.

These cigars are super tasty and contain some great flavors. They were limited to a VERY small release. Ironically, this is the youngest cigar of the bunch! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much bro!

Only one more to go!

It was a real honor to smoke such a rare and wonderful cigar. This was a favorite so far. Thank you for being so generous in this blind test. I'm learning a lot!

Lit up the last in the series a couple days ago and forgot to post the review:

This beauty had a wonderful prelight aroma. I would love to bottle it and use it as an air freshner.

First Third: Got a decent spice blast on the first inch. It calmed down quickly and became quite creamy. Very rich, heavy smoke from this one. There was some leather and cedar. There was also a pronounced but no overpowering sweetness to this. I would compare it to a caramel flavor.

Second Third: The caramel became more pronounced. The leather was also there. This cigar remninded me of a good whiskey. Not flavored at all but having some of the same flavor profile.

Second Third: I was smoking too fast and had to purge. The strength picked up a notch and some of that spice came back. The cigar stayed creamy and sweet througout. A little more cedar at this point.

This was a very enjoyable cigar. Probably more complex than I was able to discern. Once again, I could tell this was well-aged. None of that bite you get with newer Cuban cigars.

I've finally completed my mission and what an enjoyable mission it was! Thanks so much Tyr for the oppourtunity to smoke some cigars I may have never had the chance to try. I feel you spoiled me but I was glad to me spoiled!

Just saw this Scott, sorry about the extended response.

I'm glad you enjoyed the final smoke. Although I get a different flavor profile I think we can both agree that this cigar is a winner!
