Where are the animation fans?

My friend hooked me on two anime series:
Trigun (a futuristic western action comedy)
GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (comedy about a wannabe pervert teacher who used to be in a motorcycle gang)

As for movies I loved both Akira and Ghost in the Shell. I still haven't seen the Ghost in the shell series but I've heard it's great.
