My local roaster has been experimenting again. Normally he does this bean to French roast. It's usually the brewed dark roast choice at his coffee shop and I enjoy it that way and have gone through a couple pound of it at home. But Thursday he did this as an American roast and I picked some up this morning. The American roast is still full bodied and earthy but the lighter roast has a bit of fruit fragrance that's lost in the darker roast. Not citrusy IMO and nothing like the powerful blueberry you get from the great sidamo but still a definite fruit hint.
