10% and 20% are going to get you the same results. Both will give you 2X your base pay for every year in service. If you've resolved yourself to getting out, and it appears as though you have, accepting the 10% will get you out the door and on with your life sooner. Disability applied for through the VA will be evaluated independently; your separation percentage has nothing to do with your VA rating, although both organizations are supposed to use the same rating schedule, that being the VAs.
