I struck out on Hopslam this year. I'll take comfort in the fact that one of my DIPA homebrews was judged to be a "Hopslam clone" by the professional brewer who reviewed it, so I'll have to brew up another batch.

Tony, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the Hoptimum. I had a bottle this weekend and was disappointed. It did have a nice, juicy hop character but was more grapefruity than I anticipated and not as balanced. I think Torpedo is a better beer. YMMV

I will let you know. Also Sierra Nevada is going to be at the Jupiter Brewfest this weekend. Maybe they will be sampling it there to.
