Android, IPhone, Blackberry what should I get?
I'm looking for a phone that will allow me to surf the web, both by wi-fi and by phone. Don't care about texting, but the bigger the web picture size, the better.
I'm looking at Cricket as a carrier. Any comments on that? TIA!

If you go with the Blackberry, get one with a full screen. I have a Curve 8530 and the screen often limits how pages look and how I can interact with certain pages. Other than that I love the crackberry.

Thanks- I had no idea it could be so wide ranging! I guess I'm hoping for an idea of which of those would have the best web access/picture. I don't text, but would love to be able to check emails and surf the web while traveling- in addition to my netbook for use at motels. In fact, could a phone be used as a wifi internet device for a netbook when there is no wifi present otherwise? Basically, best phone for websurfing that has both wifi and direct web access. Or, is that still too wide ranging a question?

I don't know squat about cricket except they used to be pre-pay only.
I have the Droid X, it's screen is HUGE. The phone itself is pretty big, but slim. I have gotten used to it. My wife has the Droid2 and it's screen looks small compared to the X. My kid has a Storm2, I used to carry the Storm, it now seems TOO small! I think the iPhone will compare in size to the DroidX, maybe even a little smaller. Both have wi-fi (as does the Storm2 and Droid2). I have been a Verizon zombie forever so I can't comment on other carriers, but after all the phones I have gone through in the last several years (mostly Blackberries) I think I would never leave the Android phones now. Good Luck! (EDIT) Verizon has a device that pairs with your phone to share internet connections. So if you don't have wi-fi, you can use this and give your netbook wi-fi from your phone (but of course it is an additional fee per month)

Additional comment if you go with a BB Hugh, get one with a full keyboard. I had a BB Pearl for about 18 hours, the two letter per key, push one side of the key for one letter, the other for the other wacky QWERTY keyboard drove me absolutely nuts.

I'd stay away from the blackberry, they are really behind in the tech curve.
The wife got a Galaxy phone from Samsung, it's pretty sweet. The iphone 4 is more user friendly, but I really like that Samsung. |

Good call. The QWERTY keyboard my favorite feature. Not sure I could deal with anything else after using one for so long.

Re: Android, IPhone, Blackberry what should I get?
All I am going to say is that 2 of my roommates have the Droid incredible (Verizon) and the other has an iphone 4 (ATT). The only complaint the two with the incredible have is crappy battery life whereas my other roommate with the iphone doesn't have that issue.
I plan on getting the iphone once it comes out for verizon. I would check out the Droid bionic that is coming out and if you can wait the iphone 5. good luck with your purchase.

Thanks, all! I'll put on my thinking cap with these answers and see what I can come up with!
