I think coffee roasting is something that requires real passion and commitment or don't even bother.
Or you could be wrong. It is really pretty easy, lots of fun and you will be able to roast a wide variety of coffees, better than your local roaster, because you will be doing to your own exact specs.
On the other hand, at least you ARE getting fresh roasted AND supporting your local economy
