My 'net went down for a time, and I thought I'd not get to come back and preview. But it's up again, so lemme try to get this in before it crashes again. So far, there's been no official word of other games cancelled do to the weather, which means we may have tonight:
# 2 Ohio State vs. Tennessee-Martin = Though we really won't have this one, as it shouldn't be much of a game at all. # 4 U. Conn vs. # 6 Pitt = And though I'm still not convinced either of these two deserve their high rankings (though I'm also lothe to propose alternative choices), this should be a great matchup to begin Big Mouth Conference play for both teams. # 22 Louisville vs. Morgan State = And if this one lasts more than a half, I'd be shocked. Penn State vs. Indiana = Neither of these squads will compete for the national championship, or even their conference one, but they are fairly evenly matched and should give us a decent game. Missouri vs. Northern Illinois = However, this one should be double-digits for the Tigers by the horn. UAB vs. George Washington = The Blazers have a better team, and ought to build a lead as the game progresses. Yet we could get a half or more of action before then. There will also be a couple of early games on Tuesday, before I get in here: Purdue vs. Michigan = The Boilermakers have not been great, especially on the offensive end, while the Wolverines have played better than anyone expected. This one just might be pretty close. N.C. State vs. Alabama A&M = But if this one is, that means Sidney Lowe has still not gotten the attention of his young Wolfpack talent, and he just might be advised to start looking for a new job now. Back sometime tomorrow afternoon, unless one of you poses a query or objection. Until then . . . enjoy. |
