No argument there peter. I actually work swing shift just so I can raise my kids and avoid daycare. I have been blessed to experience and help my children develop and grow. I know I will cry when my first graduates hs and college as I will likely with all of them.

Als point I couldnt agree more hockey is a game of codes and honor. The codes and honor are based on respect. Couple this with a sense of sacrifice you don't find in most other sports. The player who takes a hit to get his teamate the puck, the player who dives to block a shot, etc. All this translates to building character of sacrafice and working for the greater good. Out of all the sports football, baseball, basketball and hockey I would argue that these qualities make hockey players are the least likely to get arrested, the most respectful. Creating young men and women with honor respect and character.
