Adjusting to the Life

I've used it for years. My advice would be:
1) Get trained to use it. There are tricks that increase the accuracy a lot. Otherwise, it makes too many mistakes. 2) If you can, use it on a computer that you don't use for a lot of other things. If your computer slows down, Dragon slows down. |

Used it. Thumbs down.
Problem is it doesn't do well if you use a lot of proper names, and have much of an accent if all. Needless to say, my southern drawl was a killer! And spell checker is ineffective, because the wrong words are not misspelled. Means you basically have to re-read every word. Takes me much shorter time to just type it!

I tried it years ago and it sucked. The learning curve was huge and it was pretty useless.
Now I even have it on my iPhone. It works great. There's even a Dragon Search that you can talk to to search the web. It works really good, too. I think you'll like it, but you'll have to have patience with it and use it a lot for it to be a really useful tool. A really good headset is a good idea, too. Make sure you let us know how it works out for you. ![]()

I have used it for about 6 months and love it. The biggest mistake I made early on was to manually correct any typos or words that weren't interpreted correctly. It was quicker to just fix things... but then I would end ip having to correct the same things over and over again. Take the time to train the things it gets wrong and the accuracy will improve over time.
