Favorite drink while smoking a cigar?

I always have a large glass of water on hand, but I might also be drinking a tawny port, root beer, stout or German lager. Just depends on the cigar, my mood and the time of day.

I have heard a lot of people comment on how well root beer pairs with a cigar.

Coffee.

Black (unless the cigar is incredibly full bodied, and I'll use sugar to fight the nic kick.)

Macallan 18+, Oban, or Lagavulin will always do nicely for me...

On Saturdays when I have a morning smoke it is coffee. For my daily ritual on the back porch it is usually Jack on the rocks. Sometimes it is a rum (usually Flor de Cana) with a twist of lime.
