that's because they are said to contain some amount of "pre-embargo" tobacco in them (most likely a sprinkle of dried up old stuff, so they arent lying). still a ridiculous price hike, but still, people will pay it...

most i've paid for cigars were 8-10 pounds for pc's in london, something to walk around with. i realized i was spending close to $17 for a smaller, regular production cc, but it was part of the atmosphere, and the fact that i was on vacation. nothing like walking around london with a fine stogie in your mouth

Casa Fuente had teh most rediculouse prices I've ever seen, but it is Vegas and they were worth it

Never bought cigs in NYC I take it. With SCHIP they are running about $11 a pack.

The ritzier the place the higher the pricing. Vegas is insane about cigars because they figure that high rollers will pay anything for a cigar. What makes me sicker is that someone will buy a great cigar and smoke it down almost halfway and then leave it smoldering in the ashtray.
