The other Guapos & Tat Browns as well. The good batches of these have that real Cuban flavor profile and elegance IMHO.

I think its funny how we all have different ways of describing that unique Cuban quality. Twang. chocolate bar. To me it taste like cream soda. (this is one of the reasons I don't use specific descriptors typically in my reviews). And I have not found that quality in any NC. Of course I'm not really looking I prefer a fuller bodied smoke.

One. A few years ago. "Cuban Leaf", a cheap bundle cigar made by Tabacalera Tropical. I was amazed.
They have since changed the line to short filler. I grabbed a bundle and ended up tossing them. Then bought a box of them thinking maybe the bundle was short fill and the box was long fill. Sent them back after smoking 2. ![]() |

while not exactly twangy - the tatuaje especiales (in both appearance and taste) suggest cuba to me... very similar taste and a pre-light aroma to many CCs i've had.

I wouldn't say it has a twang but I was smoking a foundacion ancestral pinar del rio 1941 lonsdale, an awesome costa rican puro, with too long of a name. But either way it tastes like somewhere between an aged punch RS and a partagas churchill deluxe.
