That serial number looks really clean and well done for a real Dupont. The paperwork and lighters looks to be in almost unbelievable condition for being from the 70's?

Yeah, I think so too but the owner said: it lain in the box and has never been touched for 30 years. He may be right, I have no idea.

Good to hear Dupont can verify from serial number. Good for you on that lighter; looks great. Don't drop it, the lacquer chips easily. I'll be curious to hear how well fuel stays in it. Seals dry up over time whether a lighter is used daily or not. A service is under $100. I think Dupont's service is out of Rhode Island.

Looks to be legit as long as the pics are legit. Also one of the rarer finishes. Chinese Lacquer and Gold. Most I've seen are Chinese lacquer and palladium.
