Willie Dixon is probably my all time favorite.

Got to be on stage watching Willie when I was head of special events security at NIU back in the mid 80s....truly a legend.

Now that is cool. Did you get to meet him? Any other cool shows you saw there?

Now that I think about it didn't you work security for Ted Nugent a little while back, too? Maybe it was for some kind of press conference he was doing, can't remember.

Speaking of Ted Nugent, here's a little "Baby Please Don't Go". Been trying to learn to play this on my acustic guitar...not going too well just yet!

I did some cool shows during that gig, Eric, and quite a few of them in the Blues category.

I did get to meet Mr. Dixon. I also was on stage for Ray Charles, and literally "ran into" him before the show. Some of the other blues artists included Koko Taylor and Buddy Guy.

The rock shows were mostly college circuit and semi-local. Cool part was always getting invited to the ater-parties. Some of the bands were R.E.M., Psychedelic Furs, Cheap trick, Charlie Daniels, and other mid-level bands.
