Default Re: Anyone else "frying" a turkey with the big easy?

Well, I put it together this morning and seasoned it with Pam. I then cooked up this 13 lb turkey and this is what I had right around 2 hours later. We used a rub and then injected it with creole seasoning.

This was so nice to use, although I had issues getting the igniter to work, so I light with a match. The one obvious drawback to this unit is the fact that it's not very big around and I think has a limit of cooking up to a 16 lb. turkey. Not too shabby, but for a big family, you might need to consider something else. Virtually no mess to speak of and no hassle of regulating oil temperature like you would with a traditional fryer. Also, no oil bubbling over and creating a mess either.

Nonetheless, it was delicious and kicked the pants off of my M-I-L's turkey out of the oven.
