I use two microfiber towels (picked up a bunch at Costco) and dish soap. One towel for washing and another towel for drying. The catch with using the microfiber towel for drying is that the towel needs to be wet in order to be effective. Counterintuitive, but it works.
I used to use fancier soaps (Meguiars, Mothers, etc.) but my dealer told me that they recommend a mild dish soap over these others, because they are milder -- which is better for the finish. If you find something that repells brake dust please let me know! My brake pads are very dusty and it is a real PIA to keep my wheels clean...
