Default Are La Gloria Cubana extra susceptible to mold?

This is the second time this has happened to me.

I went into a shop that sold cigars, (this happened to be a liquor store) with a large sliding glass door humidor. They had a nice selection, but I couldn't help but notice that the boxes of La Gloria Cubana cigars were moldy.

I wonder if there is something about the way these cigars are made and/or packaged that makes them more likely to mold. Both times I saw this, it was boxes of LGC Series R's. They are cabinet style boxes, and I wonder if that has something to do with it. Or maybe because they are not wrapped in cellophane?

To their credit, when I pointed it out to an employee, he said "Oh rats!" and removed them from the humidor. Then I saw him checking the rest of the stock.
