Default February must be a popular month for births!

This afternoon, at about 1:30pm, my wife calls me and says her water just broke. No emergency situation, but the process was beginning.

We got our stuff together (a few bags, camera, laptop, pillows, chargers...) and headed to the hospital. We've been here for about 5 hours and it's going slow. She's on an IV to help labor start moving along, but they still say it could be quite a while until the show begins.

This is also our first. A boy. Harrison Jack. We're both really excited... and I'm as scared as a new father with no prior experience with little ones could be.

I'll be smoking a few of my good ones once we get out and get the baby home. Maybe buy a few beers too.
